Clinical Supervision for Psychotherapists and Students

The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) expects clinical supervisors to have at least 5 years of experience and extensive clinical experience. Research-based guidelines* also strongly recommend that a clinic manager should not provide clinical supervision for their staff due to conflicting priorities and the dual relationship.

I am a seasoned, well-rounded RP supervisor with extensive clinical experience in the community and hospital setting, and in private practice, supporting children, youth, and adults. My current clientele includes couples (I am Gottman-trained), adults and youth. I developed a hospital-wide mentoring/peer support program for new clinicians at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, worked as a Practice Advisor with CRPO for five years, and evaluated RPs under the CRPO Quality Assurance Program. My strong knowledge of the CRPO Standards and applicable legislation is at your disposal.
